Garys Job At Kennedy Space Center

Gary was so proud to be working at the space center, he always joked to people that he was training to be an astronaut. When he started there he was working on the crawler, he ended up being a welder. He came to my house almost every day on the way home and told me all about the crawler, or what he was working on as a welder. He said "I never knew jobs like this existed". He gave me this shirt.

Are you kidding??? Gary made it so that every one was excited about him working at the Space Center. After our visit to Florida with our kids a couple of years ago, Gary sent KJ all kinds of stickers, pictures, and informatiion about the shuttle program. Even after he was gone, the last thing KJ received from him was...you guessed it, another packet of pictures, stickers, and information about the different shuttle missions since our last visit. These things have even more value to us now.

I was always proud to tell my friends and co-workers that I had a brother that worked at the Kennedy Space Center. Everytime there was a launch I always marveled that my brother Gary had a hand in it. Now whenever a shuttle or a rocket is launced I will think of Gary.
