I received a call on November Sixteenth from a fellow who had worked with Gary at the Space Center. He wanted to tell me that he had purchased a brick in Gary’s name in the memorial garden at the Cape Canaveral Space Visitor Center, he said it was in section five. We haven’t gotten up there to see it yet but will first chance we get.
He went on to tell me that he had talked to me at Gary’s funeral and told me all the help Gary had been to him. He told me that he had been having trouble with his air conditioner and Gary and Josh came up to his house and spent the whole day working on it at the end of the day he went out to get pizza for them, while he was gone his wife tried to give Gary $100.00 for working on he air conditioner, Gary didn’t want to take and she forced him to take it. After Gary left they got a phone call it was Gary he said are you on the phone in the den, look under the phone, the $100.00 bill that his wife had given him was there under the phone. Gary told him he fixed the air conditioner because he was a friend not for money.
